Who is healthier – Sam or Joe?
May 12, 2009 · 35 Comments
Sam is a representative soccer player who trains very hard and always eats the right foods so he has energy to compete. He trains long hours 4 nights a week and plays on both days of the weekend. He is extremely fit for his age. He is missing spending a lot of time with his friends and family and this is starting to upset him more as he gets older. He has been fighting with his parents a little more as he is always tired and worn out and this is bothering him as well. He is unsure about what to do and does not know if he wants to keep training as much. He is starting to struggle a little at school as he does not have the time to do all the work he needs to do. This has all led to Sam feeling depressed and he is not sure what to do next.
Joe has always been very social and has lots of friends who he cares about. He enjoys having fun and having a good time and is always out making new friends and meeting people. He has a good relationship with his family members. He tries hard at school but sometimes his socialising gets in the way of his school work. He should be going a little better at school then he is but he is o.k with this as it is all about having fun to Joe. He has a pretty poor diet and does not play many sports as he is not confident and has not played a lot of sport growing up. He is very unfit and knows that he needs to do something about this soon.
Which person would you consider to be the healthier person? Explain by posting a comment below.

Welcome Year 7
March 18, 2009 · 2 Comments
Welcome Year 7. We will use this blog to share our work and ideas over the rest of the year. You can contribute directly onto this page or you can create your own blog to submit your ideas. If you are going to create your own page please add a comment to this post and include the address of your blog and I will link to your blog here. Make sure you read the blog rules very carefully if doing this.
It is important that we follow some basic rules to ensure we do not do anything that may hurt or upset others, and that we protect ourselves. We need to remember that blogs are designed for other people to be able to read and comment on them.
The following rules apply when using our blogs in PDHPE.
1. All posts must be written so that they will not offend anyone else. (No nasty comments etc) and do not make fun of what others have written.
2. Do not post personal information (name, address, phone number, photos). When posting, remember that other people will read your blog so do not post anything personal or that may be embarrassing to you when other people read it.
3. If you notice any inappropriate material on our blog report it straight away to bmcallis@magdalene.woll.catholic.edu.au.
Can you think of anymore rules we need to add?
